Crush the Commute: Raleigh RX 1.0
It is with great reluctance I say goodbye to what may be my favorite bike ever. Fast and light for the morning commute or long weekend rides, it’s also rugged for the all-terrain-ness of NYC/Brooklyn whether your traversing the cobble stones of greenwich village or the lava-flow like texture of chrystie street.
This was my commuter so it’s equipped with a pinhead locking system on the wheels and handlebars and a seat chain on the saddle for one-stop-locking. Also outfitted on it are 28mm Gatorskins (although if you want the original clement cross tires let me know, and I’ll install them before purchase)

I LOVE THIS BIKE …
but alas, if you love something, let it go … right?
Next year I’m leaving and am beginning the process of thinning my fleet.
- Additional information:
Everything on the bike is recently tuned including the BB30 bottom bracket which has been re-greased in the last month.
This is a 60cm frame so it’s only for the tall rider, 6 foot and up.
I’m just beginning to prepare for my journey next spring so I’m in no rush to sell this bike but if you think it’s for you, let me know and we can discuss where and when to meet up for test ride.
